02 · Residential

Everything above the foundation.

SPK started in roofing and grew into full exterior restoration, because a hailstorm never damages only the roof. One company, one claim, one crew on your property.

Roof replacement

Roof replacement

Full tear-off to the decking, rotten sheathing replaced, ice-and-water at the eaves and valleys, proper ridge ventilation, lifetime warranty on the install.

  • Architectural, impact-resistant, metal & synthetic
  • Most homes done in one day
  • Magnet sweep and photo sign-off before we leave
Roof repair & leak tracing

Roof repair & leak tracing

Most leaks aren't where the water shows up. We trace it to the actual failure — flashing, boot, valley, nail pop — and fix that instead of selling you a roof you don't need yet.

  • Same-week appointments
  • Emergency tarping after storms
  • Written findings with photos either way
Inspection & restoration

Inspection & restoration

A documented condition report: remaining life, what's failing, what it'll cost, and whether it's a claim or a cash job. Useful whether you hire us or not.

  • Free for homeowners
  • Real-estate / pre-listing inspections
  • Restoration when replacement isn’t warranted
Siding

Siding

Vinyl, fiber cement and LP. Hail dents siding the same day it bruises shingles — and the same claim usually covers both.

Gutters & downspouts

Gutters & downspouts

Seamless 5″ and 6″ gutters, guards, and downspout routing that actually moves water away from a St. Louis basement.

Decks & fencing

Decks & fencing

The construction half of the name. Fence and deck repair, replacement and code-violation fixes — often same-day bids.

03 · Storm damage & insurance claims

The part nobody explains to you.

St. Louis sits in one of the busiest hail corridors in the country. After every storm two things show up: water in your ceiling, and a stranger at your door. Here is exactly how a claim works, so you can tell the difference between help and a hustle.

1

Get the roof documented — before you call anyone

We inspect and photograph the damage and give you a written report. If there isn't enough damage to justify a claim, we tell you that, because a denied claim still goes on your record.

2

You file the claim. Not us.

You call your carrier and open the claim yourself. Any contractor who offers to file it for you, or to "handle the insurance company," is doing something Missouri licenses public adjusters to do. We're your contractor, not your adjuster.

3

We meet your adjuster on the roof

This is the step that decides your money. We're there with our photos and measurements when the adjuster inspects, so nothing gets missed and the scope reflects the actual damage.

4

We build to the approved scope

You get a line-by-line walkthrough of what the carrier approved, what it pays for, and what it doesn't. If something was left out, we supplement it with documentation.

5

Install, final inspection, depreciation released

We complete the work, send the carrier the certificate of completion, and your recoverable depreciation gets released. You see every number before you sign anything.

04 · Commercial & multifamily

Stop buying roofs. Start managing them.

Apartment buildings, retail strips, warehouses, industrial and institutional. For a building owner the question is never "what does a new roof cost" — it's "how long can I responsibly defer one, and what does that cost me per year to do safely?"

Reactive repairs cost three to four times what planned repairs cost — and most manufacturer warranties require documented inspections to stay valid. A roof nobody is looking at is not a roof you own. It's a roof you're gambling on.

Heat-welded TPO membrane seam on a commercial flat roof
Heat-welded TPO seam — the precision that keeps a membrane alive

Systems we install and service

TPO

Single-ply, heat-welded seams, highly reflective. The default for new low-slope work and the cheapest way to cut a cooling bill.

EPDM

Rubber membrane with the longest proven service life in the category. Handles Missouri's temperature swings without complaint.

Modified bitumen

Torch- or self-adhered multi-ply. Tough underfoot — the right call for roofs with heavy equipment traffic.

PVC

Chemical- and grease-resistant. What restaurants, food processing and manufacturing exhaust demands.

Metal

Standing seam and R-panel for agricultural, industrial and long-horizon assets.

Coatings & restoration

Silicone and acrylic systems that add years to a sound roof for a fraction of a tear-off — and often qualify as maintenance, not capex.

Buildings we work on

Multifamily and apartment communities Retail centers and restaurants Warehouse and distribution Manufacturing and industrial Offices and medical Churches and schools Self-storage

Multifamily is where we started. Occupied units, tenants who need notice, parking that has to stay usable, and an owner who needs the job to survive a rent roll. We schedule around residents, not the other way around.

Schedule a roof assessment

Not an estimate — an assessment. We walk the roof, core it if needed, score its condition, and give you a written remaining-life and budget number. Then you decide whether you need us.

05 · Book it yourself

Pick a time. 25 minutes. Then we're out of your hair.

No phone tag, no "someone will reach out." Choose a slot and it's on our calendar. Here's exactly what happens in those 25 minutes:

  • We get on the roof and photograph everything — you get the photos regardless of what you decide.
  • We tell you if it's a claim or a cash job, and if it's neither, we say that too.
  • You get the number in writing before we leave the driveway.
  • You get a timeline — when we could start and how long it takes.
  • What doesn't happen: a slideshow, a "manager" phone call, or a price that expires tonight.

06 · Paying for it

It doesn't have to come out of savings.

Most people postpone a roof for a year because of the sticker, then pay for drywall, insulation and mold remediation on top of it. Financing turns it into something a household decides in a week. Move the slider to see what a payment looks like at any amount.

Roof replacement

"SPK roofing & construction did an amazing job with our roof this past weekend. Their attention to detail throughout the replacement of the roof was above and beyond. The roofing crew ensured everything was cleaned up and payed special attention to our hot tub, lawn, & patio furniture and ensured everything was either covered or protected throughout the day. The roof was done in under 8 hours. They were quick, respectful, & decently priced. The owner Aaron communicated everything to expect throughout the entire process."

Insurance claim

"I was referred to SPK by a friend of mine who recently used them for her insurance claim. As a first time homeowner, I wasn't 100 percent sure doing this process on my own and I'm so happy to have connected with Aaron. He explained the process every step of the way and made everything super simple from day one! On top of that, my new roof looks beautiful!"

Storm damage claim

"Aaron worked with us and our insurance company claim adjuster and as of yesterday we have a new roof. Aaron took the time, put in the effort and communicated with us throughout the process. His team arrived yesterday and worked tirelessly to complete the job. If you are looking for a contractor who provides great customer service, works with the insurance company to evaluate the damage, and ultimately does a superb job I would recommend Aaron."

Hail damage

"Aaron was great to work with. He was here when my insurance adjuster did his inspection. That helped with the claims process. Since I had no leaks from the hail storm, Aaron worked with me to delay the new roof install until most of the spring storms are over. After that, everything else ran smoothly with no delays. The new roof looks great."

Roof & siding

"SPK Roofing provided a new roof for us while we were under a time crunch. Our house was under contract when the hail storm hit causing siding and roof damage. He worked very hard with us to ensure it was done before our closing on May 2. The roof and siding look great. He is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. We highly recommend!"

Fence & deck

"One of my rental properties in Soulard got cited for having a faulty fence. I called SPK, they came out the same day, gave a bid (which was much cheaper than I expected) and completed the entire job in less than a week. No more citation and all of my tenants + the neighbors complimented it! Highly recommend SPK for any fence/deck work."

09 · The SPK promise

Four things we'll put in writing.

Anyone can say they care about quality. These are falsifiable.

01

We call you back the same day

Leave a message at 2am and you'll hear from a human before the day is out — not a dispatcher, one of us.

02

The price we write is the price you pay

Locked at signing. The only exception is damage we physically could not see until the old roof came off — and we show you that before we touch it.

03

We'll tell you when you don't need a roof

If it's a flashing repair, that's what we'll quote. We'd rather have the next twenty years of your business.

04

Lifetime workmanship warranty

On every new roof we install. If it leaks because of how we put it on, we come back — however long it's been.

10 · Where we work

The St. Louis metro, and most of Missouri.

Based in Fenton. Crews on the road daily across both sides of the river.

11 · Straight answers

Questions people actually ask.

Six things, in roughly this order: the size and pitch of the roof, how many layers have to come off, what we find on the decking once they do, the material you choose, the flashing work — chimneys, skylights, valleys, wall tie-ins — and access, meaning whether a truck can get close or everything is carried. We won't publish a number on a website because the honest one depends on all six. What we will do is get on your roof, measure it, photograph it, and hand you the number in writing, for free, with no obligation. That takes about 25 minutes.

It depends on the damage and your deductible. If the storm damage is real and documented, a claim usually makes sense — you pay your deductible and the carrier covers the rest of the approved scope. If the roof is simply old, that's a maintenance issue and a claim will be denied, which stays on your record. We'll tell you which one you have, in writing, for free, before you call anyone.

Not that day. Legitimate contractors are fine with you taking 48 hours. Be careful with anything that asks you to sign over your insurance benefits before you've had time to read it. Check that the company has a local address (ours is 279 Keystone Dr, Fenton) and a review history you can actually read.

Most single-family homes: one day, start to finish, including tear-off and cleanup. Larger or more complex homes run two to three. Multifamily and commercial depend on square footage and system — we'll give you a schedule with the assessment.

Two separate things. The manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the shingles themselves. Our workmanship warranty covers how we installed them — flashing, fasteners, underlayment, ventilation, valleys. That's the one that matters, because the overwhelming majority of roof failures are installation, not material. Ours is a lifetime workmanship warranty on new installs.

Ask us directly and we'll tell you exactly who is coming to your house and how long they've worked with us. Anyone on your property is insured under our policy.

Yes — it's a large part of what we do. Multifamily, retail, warehouse and industrial, on both steep-slope and low-slope systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, PVC, metal and coatings). For those, start with a roof assessment rather than an estimate.

We answer calls, texts, emails and website messages 24/7. If water is coming in right now, call (636) 667-2887 — emergency tarping is the fastest thing we do.

12 · Get in touch
